Template:Infobox biome The meadow is an elevated grassy Minecraft:mountain slope Minecraft:biome filled with patches of Minecraft:flowers, turquoise-green Minecraft:grass and Minecraft:tall grass, where Minecraft:sheep, Minecraft:donkeys and Minecraft:rabbits spawn.

Description

The meadow is the most common mountain biome, covering 1.19% of the Overworld's surface area.

The meadow is a high altitude counterpart to the Minecraft:plains biome. All small Minecraft:flowers generate except Minecraft:blue orchids, Minecraft:tulips, Minecraft:lilies of the valley, Minecraft:torchflowers, eyeblossoms, or Minecraft:wither roses. Rarely, a lone oak or Minecraft:birch tree of any size can generate and always has a Minecraft:bee nest. Both Minecraft:pillager outposts and Minecraft:plains villages can generate in this biome, making this the only mountain biome where villages can generate. Template:IN, unlike most overworld biomes, Minecraft:sugar canes and Minecraft:pumpkin patches cannot generate here.

Just like other mountain biomes, Minecraft:emerald ores can be found in meadows, especially at higher altitudes, and both coal and Minecraft:iron ores are commonly found here. Minecraft:Infested block blobs also naturally generate in meadows.

This biome usually generates in the lower sides of some mountains but can also generate standalone in plateaus, mainly next to Minecraft:plains and separated from Minecraft:cherry groves, regular Minecraft:forests, regular Minecraft:birch forest, or regular Minecraft:taigas by Minecraft:rivers.
