Minecraft:Taiga
More actions
Template:Infobox biome The taiga is a humid and cold Minecraft:biome comprising a grassland forested with small and large ferns, pale aquamarine-green grass, Minecraft:spruce and pine trees. Minecraft:Foxes and Minecraft:wolves commonly spawn here.
Generation
Taigas generate in the moderately high humidity zones of cold temperature areas, as well as the highest humidity zones of frozen areas. They commonly border old growth taigas, Minecraft:forests, and snowy taigas, and less frequently birch forests. In cold temperature areas, they can generate in any type of terrain; flatlands near shattered Minecraft:windswept forests and Minecraft:swamps, rolling slopes and plateaus, or Minecraft:mountains with Minecraft:groves on the slopes.
In the frozen temperature areas, however, they only generate in medium to high erosion as vast groves replace them in mountainous terrain. They can sometimes still generate replacing rivers in the highest mountain peaks. When generated in frozen temperature areas, they create a large contrast with the snowy environment, most notably frozen rivers and snowy beaches.
Because these generate in the highest humidity, they are almost guaranteed to have lush caves underground. Cold temperature zone taigas have a slightly lower chance of bordering lush caves.
Description
The taiga's surface is a grassland with a large number of Minecraft:ferns and Minecraft:large ferns, and is forested with pine and spruce Minecraft:trees, which are the only trees that can generate in this biome. The vegetation also includes Minecraft:sweet berry bushes, and takes an aquamarine color tone. The Minecraft:water coloration has a unique dark turquoise tone Template:In.
Cold Minecraft:animal variants spawn in the taiga, as well as Minecraft:foxes and pale Minecraft:wolves. Minecraft:Rainfall is common and changes to Minecraft:snowfall above the layer Y=160±8 within taigas due to the humid and cold climate.
Minecraft:Pillager outposts, Minecraft:villages, and Minecraft:trail ruins generate in taigas occasionally. These villages are made of spruce wood materials and often contain gardens with Minecraft:poppy and Minecraft:pumpkin farms.
With Minecraft:Vibrant Visuals, taigas use a coolish humid volumetric fog setting, which slightly fades the distance in an orange tint. Taigas have coolish color grading tints the environment with a colder blue color, and cold sunlight which appears slightly brighter at dusk and dawn.
