Minecraft:Snowy Slopes

Template:Infobox biome Snowy slopes are snowy Minecraft:biomes that often generate on the sides of Minecraft:mountains. Unlike the Minecraft:snowy plains, this biome is made out of Minecraft:stone covered with one or more layers of Minecraft:snow blocks and occasional Minecraft:powder snow patches.

Generation

Snowy slopes generate as mountain slope biomes, similar to Minecraft:meadows and Minecraft:cherry groves, but at higher altitudes and not as plateaus. They can also generate standalone on smaller peaks, sometimes measuring only a few blocks in size.

They can generate in the coldest to medium temperature zones with lower humidity. They often border Minecraft:jagged peaks and Minecraft:frozen peaks as mountain biomes and meadows and cherry groves in valleys, and they are replaced by Minecraft:groves in higher humidity. Snowy slopes can also border medium biomes when they generate on plateaus, like Minecraft:plains, Minecraft:sunflower plains, and Minecraft:flower forests.

In the coldest temperature zones, snowy slopes extend to entire valleys and hills around mountains, replacing Minecraft:snowy plains and Minecraft:ice spikes, and also bordering Minecraft:frozen rivers and Minecraft:frozen oceans with tall cliffs or Minecraft:stony shores. Ice spikes and snowy plains can sometimes generate as thin strips replacing rivers in highland snowy slopes.

Because snowy slopes are mountain biomes, they are almost guaranteed to have Minecraft:deep dark underneath, and commonly also Minecraft:dripstone caves.

Description

Snowy slopes are similar to Minecraft:groves except that no trees generate. It is a mostly barren biome covered in Minecraft:snow, multiple layers of Minecraft:snow blocks and Minecraft:strips of Minecraft:powder snow, with steep sides to the north or east also having Minecraft:stone cliffs covered with snow layers.

Minecraft:Infested stone generates underground as well as Minecraft:emerald ore.

Minecraft:Goats spawn in this biome alongside snowy Minecraft:rabbits and Minecraft:polar bears.Template:Only At nighttime, Minecraft:strays may also spawn alongside common hostile mobs.

This is the only mountain biome where Minecraft:igloos can generate. Minecraft:Pillager outposts also generate.

With Minecraft:Vibrant Visuals, snowy slopes use default environmental settings with a coolish color grading, making the biome appear colder blue. They use cold sunlight, which is slightly brighter at dusk and dawn.
