Mentalism Overview

Mentalism is a skill that makes use of Psychic energy to both attack and support. Advanced Mentalists can gain critical-hit chances to their attacks by studying Phrenology.

Mentalism is a very diverse skill with many good combos depending on the route you take. Generally you will want to focus on Electric or psychic damage mods depending on which other skill you choose. Mentalism is also a great choice for healing. I will list some good damage combos below:
  • Psychology Amazing direct psychic damage potential. Good Crowd Control. No Form or weapon requirements. BIG CRITS. Very, Very good as long as your foes don't resist Psychic damage.
  • Vampirism The only other real option for a full psychic damage build. Has access to psychic Vulnerability and phrenology crit chance with the right mods too. Also scales indirect psychic damage with the right mods.
  • Hammer Huge lightning damage but high mana costs. Can buff the whole team with extra lightning damage.
  • Necromancy This combo makes great lightning damage dealer. Its even better if you have Fairy Magic. The other the main synergy is indirect psychic damage which isn't as potent in most situations.
  • Warden This makes a for a good lightning damage focused build with potential for a mixed lightning/fire build is you have Fairy Magic.

 Belt of The Alchemist increases Base Damage dealt with Mentalism and Battle Chemistry skills by 6%. Can be bought from Marna.

 Belt of The Monk increases Base Damage dealt with Mentalism and Unarmed combat skills by 6%. Can be bought from Echur.

 Belt of The Medic increases Base Damage dealt with Mentalism and Psychology combat skills by 6%. Can be bought from Echur.

 Belt of The Mindfist increases Base Damage dealt with Mentalism and Hammer combat skills by 6%. Can be bought from Agrashab.

 Belt of The Freeze Wizard increases Base Damage dealt with Mentalism and Ice Magic combat skills by 6%. Can be bought from Ukorga.

 Belt of The Wise Duelist increases Base Damage dealt with Mentalism and Sword combat skills by 6%. Can be found through rare drops.
