Minecraft:Bedrock Edition guides/Chase the Skies

This guide is a simplified overview of all non-experimental changes in the Minecraft:Chase the Skies (Template:BE 1.21.90), which assumes at least some familiarity with Minecraft:Spring to Life (Bedrock Edition 1.21.70), excluding experimental features in this version.

Minecraft:Happy ghast

Template:Animate

Does not spawn naturally. Spawned by hydrated dried ghasts.

Template:Xp (when killed by a Minecraft:player or tamed Minecraft:wolf)

Baby happy ghasts are called "ghastlings". Can be ridden on using a Minecraft:harness.

Minecraft:Ghast	Template:Animate	Texture resolution has been doubled to match the Minecraft:happy ghast.
Minecraft:Piglin	File:Piglin.png	The Minecraft:dried ghast is now available from Minecraft:bartering.
Minecraft:Horse, Minecraft:donkey and Minecraft:mule	Template:Animate	Can now be fed Minecraft:carrots to heal, grow, and improve their temper, with the same effect as Minecraft:apples.

Found in Minecraft:nether fossils. Also craftable and can be acquired from Minecraft:bartering with Minecraft:piglins.

Minecraft:Harness	Template:Animate		Can be used on a Minecraft:happy ghast to equip it. Up to 4 Minecraft:players can ride a single happy ghast at once. Using Minecraft:shears on a happy ghast wearing a harness removes its harness.

Minecraft:Lead	File:Lead JE2 BE2.png	Can now leash mobs to eachother, creating chains of mobs. The same can be done to chain Minecraft:boats as well. A boat can be leashed to a happy ghast to carry it in the air. The Minecraft:slimeball in the crafting recipe has been replaced with a Minecraft:string.
Minecraft:Leather	File:Leather JE2 BE2.png	Can now be found in Minecraft:monster room, Minecraft:ancient city, Minecraft:desert temple, Minecraft:jungle temple and Minecraft:stronghold altar chests in quantities 1-5.
Minecraft:Saddle	File:Saddle JE2 BE2.png	Can be removed from mobs wearing them by Template:Ctrl Minecraft:shears on the mob. Saddles can now be crafted with 3 Minecraft:leather and 1 Minecraft:iron ingot.
Minecraft:Shears	File:Shears JE2 BE2.png	Can now remove Minecraft:saddles, Minecraft:horse armor, Minecraft:harnesses and Minecraft:carpets from mobs. Saddles cannot be removed from Minecraft:ravagers. Minecraft:Dispensers with shears cannot remove saddles, horse armor, harnesses and carpets equipped on mobs.

Gameplay

Minecraft:Locator bar

Can be using to the position of other Minecraft:players in Minecraft:multiplayer as colored indicators. If the target is on a significantly different Y-level, an arrow pointing to the target vertically appears over the indicator. Locator bar changes based on the player's distance to its location. The further away the player to the waypoint, the smaller the icon shown on the locator bar. Players can prevent their positions from being shown in the locator bar; they can sneak, wear a mob head or Minecraft:carved pumpkin, or be under the Minecraft:Invisibility effect.

Minecraft:Vibrant Visuals

Made Minecraft:Vibrant Visuals the default graphics mode for supported devices. A form of Shaders for Bedrock Edition. It is customizable and has two different built-in forms: Favor Performance, and Favor Visuals. Specific feature and visual settings can also be adjusted by expanding "Vibrant Visuals Options".
