Template:Distinguish Template:Exclusive Template:Unobtainable Template:Infobox block Glowing obsidian is an unobtainable decorative Minecraft:block that emits light. It emits obsidian_glow_dust_particle particles at the world origin (0, 0, 0) if placed.

Obtaining

Glowing obsidian drops itself only when mined with a Minecraft:diamond pickaxe or Minecraft:netherite pickaxe; otherwise, it drops nothing.

Usage

Glowing obsidian can be used for decoration.

Glowing obsidian emits a light level of 12.

Glowing obsidian is an unsupported block, and as such, issues relating to them may not be fixed.

Trivia

• Glowing obsidian makes an appearance in Minecraft: Story Mode - Season Two, spawning around the observer when Template:MCSM places the structure block and on the bottom of the obsidian cages Template:MCSM was in.
• Glowing obsidian is 2 levels brighter than Minecraft:crying obsidian. However, at the time when glowing obsidian was available, crying obsidian was not.
