Minecraft:Leather

Leather is an Minecraft:item used to craft Minecraft:bundles, Minecraft:books, Minecraft:saddles, Minecraft:armor and other items.

Obtaining

Mob loot

A Minecraft:fox sometimes spawns holding leather, which always drops upon death. Alternatively, a player can drop a Minecraft:food item, causing the fox to drop the leather in favor of that food.

Fishing

Leather can be obtained as a "junk" item from Minecraft:fishing, with a 1% default chance of getting it.

Bartering

Adult Minecraft:piglins may Minecraft:barter 2-4 leather with a chance of ~8.53% (Template:Frac) when given a Minecraft:gold ingot.

Villager gifts

Template:In, Minecraft:leatherworker villagers throw leather at players under the Minecraft:Hero of the Village effect.

Repairing

Leather is the repair item for the leather armor, and thus can be used to Minecraft:repair the following items in an Minecraft:anvil:
