Purpur pillars can be mined using any Minecraft:pickaxe. If mined without a pickaxe, it Minecraft:drops nothing.

Natural generation

Purpur pillars can be found naturally as part of the structure of Minecraft:End cities and Minecraft:End ships.

Usage

Purpur pillars are primarily decorative Minecraft:blocks, similar to other brick-type blocks. Purpur pillar blocks can be placed sideways, similar to Minecraft:logs or Minecraft:quartz pillar blocks.

Note blocks

Purpur pillars can be placed under Minecraft:note blocks to produce "bass drum" sounds.

Sulfur cube

Template:In development Minecraft:Sulfur cubes have the ability to absorb purpur pillars, either through picking them up or being interacted with them. This provides the regular/football effect to the mob when hitting it.
