The Invictus Launch Week (ILW) is an annual event hosted by the United Empire of Earth Navy (UEEN), signifying the commencement of the new recruitment year and is recognized as an official holiday within the StarCitizen:UEE. The 2955 exhibition took place from May 15 to May 27 at the StarCitizen:Bevic Convention Center located in StarCitizen:Area 18 on StarCitizen:ArcCorp. Notably, this year, the StarCitizen:Drake DefenseCon event did not occur concurrently, as StarCitizen:Drake Interplanetary was invited to participate in the ILW for the first time. There was also no UEEN fleet flyby as the "fearsome fleet is needed elsewhere and is currently out for deployment".<ref>Template:Cite RSI</ref><ref name="ILW2955Page">Template:Cite RSI</ref><ref name="ILW2955FAQ">Template:Cite RSI</ref>

This year's event has substituted the traditional rotating exhibition space among various manufacturers with a singular display that persists throughout the duration of the event. The rental process for the different manufacture remains unchanged; however, it is now facilitated through rental terminals positioned along the walls prior to entering the main central hall. As in previous years, the vehicles rotate among the various ship manufacturers and can be rented at no cost for a period of 48 hours. Each transition in the game occurs at 1600 UTC.<ref name="ILW2955schedule">Template:Cite RSI</ref>
