This page lists Star Citizen lore inconsistencies, that are caused among others by the lore being created and evolving over time.

Messer VII to Messer VIII transition

In the 2017 comm link This Day in History - The First Step Back, it says "When Messer VI named her youngest son, Samuel, as her successor in 2697", which would make him Messer VII, However according to the Jump Point magazine of May 2017 about the StarCitizen:Gliese system, it states that Messer VIII made a decision in 2712 to send a delegation to negociate access rights to the StarCitizen:Banu Gliese system. This meant that the transition was wrong, or was missing a part, or that Jumpoint Magazine was wrong. After this was spotted by wiki editor Facecrafter and sent to StarCitizen:Dave Haddock, this inconsistency got resolved in 2022 when the Samuel Messer StarCitizen:galactapedia article came out, with him being deposed by his cousin Astrid Messer the same year he was made emperor, but becoming emperor anew after a 4 years civil war and the murder of Astrid.
