Molina Mold is a species of mold whose airborne spores cause potentially fatal fungal infections in humans.
The origin of the mold growth was identified as faulty ventilation filters from Gyson Inc that was located at Levski station in the StarCitizen:Nyx system. It was named after Samuel Molina, the first individual to die from its effects. Since then, clinics and hospitals throughout the Nyx system have been inundated with individuals experiencing symptoms. The StarCitizen:People's Alliance is collaborating with the UEE affiliated StarCitizen:Alliance Aid relief organization to replace the defective filters and provide necessary treatments. It is strongly recommended that both residents and visitors steer clear of areas in Levski that are affected by the mold growth.<ref name=":0">Loading screen, January 2026, New United</ref>
It was introduced as part of the Clearing the Air event with patch alpha 4.6.
