Star Citizen Music

He was a huge Wing Commander fan. He played Wing Commander I with his father who passed away shortly after.<ref name="atvinterview" /><ref>Inside Cloud Imperium Games: Orchestral Recording Session</ref>

When he saw the kickstarted campaign video he sent an email to StarCitizen:Chris Roberts with some of his latest classical work, Requiem Inês de Castro and some video game music he had been composing for several years. Chris responded and Pedro started composing music for Star Citizen.<ref name="atvinterview" />

One of his first ever MIDI tracks, composed in early 2006, was bought by Cloud Imperium Games for Star Citizen.<ref name=":0">Template:Cite Jump Point</ref>, which was a demo for the Synthesyzer Rob Papen's Blue.

When he started working on Star Citizen he was also hired to work on The Witcher 3,<ref>Witcher 3 Theme, Soundcloud</ref> initially to help the main composer then as a composer himself, and at some point he had to choose between the two games and chose Star Citizen.<ref name=":1" />

He described his music in this project as a tribute to all SciFi fans, a warm thank you to all backers and a homage to his father.<ref>"My music in this project is a tribute to all SciFi fans, a warm thank you to all backers and a homage to my father.", @pedrocamacho, Twitter, Sep 14, 2025</ref>

He also wrote that the New Babbage Theme was a homage to his daughter, born in 2017. "She can lift an entire house with her laugh and bursts of happiness" and that was the motif for that theme.<ref>"I composed this track when my little girl was 1 year old. Microtech is such an ice cold planet and New Babbage is like a spark of joy in that planet just my little girl is to my own world. It is dedicated to her. She can lift an entire house with her laugh and bursts of happiness. I composed this track to mimic what I feel with her burst of energy!", @pedrocamacho, Twitter, Sep 14, 2025</ref>
