Alpha v1.0.14, also known as Seecret Friday 7, is a version of Java Edition Alpha released on July 30, 2010. It is the seventh seecret update. It added chickens, Minecraft:eggs, Minecraft:jukeboxes, music discs, minecarts with furnaces, minecarts with chests and new splashes, and re-added music.
Two main different versions of Alpha v1.0.14 exist. Only the second is available in the launcher. The reupload fixed the jukebox recipe giving a Minecraft:bookshelf in the pre-reupload version and added the splash "Switches and ores!".

Mobs

- The fourth passive mob to be added into the game.
- They fall more slowly than other mobs and have a flapping animation, but still take fall damage on landing.
- Lays an egg item every 5–10 minutes.
- Drop 0–2 feathers upon death.

Changes
Blocks
- Can now grow to a height of three blocks, allowing for farming.
- Blast resistance is now 1,200, making TNT unable to destroy it.
Items
- The tip in crafting is now made from Minecraft:flint rather than iron ingots.
Mobs

Slimes
- Spawning has now been reduced as they now appear in abundance.
- A miscalculation in the new limit has now caused slimes to spawn only in strange locations, so natural slime spawning has now been disabled.

- Changed the generation of trees and Minecraft:flower patches.
