There's no such thing as a happy ghost, that's what they say. Even if the ghost says it's happy, it can't actually be. By definition, basically. Isn't that interesting?

They say a ghost doesn't always form right after someone's death. Sometimes it can take years. My son died three years ago and there's been no sign of him as a ghost.

Which is good. I guess that's good.

It's been a bit of a shameful spot that my son was burried here instead of back at home. But he was a Statehelmsman through and through. Fought in the ProjectGorgon:Second Column. "Fighting for good things," is how he described it to me.

But the way he died... nothing adds up about it! He was killed in a dragonfire blast. Three years ago. While just out and about in ProjectGorgon:Vidaria. There's been no dragons in these human lands for a century or more!

I think I'll head home next spring. I have no ties to this place anymore.
