Dragonwilds:Ulv

Template:Infobox NPC Ulv was a Wild Knight warrior during the period of garou-human conflicts. He was cast out from his village for his quiet nature and survived by hunting small prey such as rabbits and Dragonwilds:chickens using daggers fashioned from bone. He would whittle small carvings of animals from fallen branches. He sold excess meat at market to purchase simple tools and clothing.

At age thirteen, Ulv was beaten by bandits and left for dead. A Wild Knight found him and brought him to safety. While recovering in the knight's home, he was taught how to use a bow and quickly mastered the skill.

History

After learning archery, Ulv killed a wolf that was threatening the village of Dragonwilds:Bramblemead. When offered a reward by the villagers, he refused and requested only the wolf's skull. He fashioned it into a mask.

Sometime later, Ulv rescued the necromancer Dragonwilds:Ravanna from pirates who were hunting her on Dragonwilds:Ashenfall while wearing his wolf skull mask. The two formed an inseparable hunting partnership, though their bond remained platonic. Ravanna crafted arrows and Ulv fired the bow. They left miniature carvings of wolf skulls and bats hidden across the forest in places that held significance to them.

Hunting together presented challenges due to their different skillsets. Ulv could remain quiet and motionless for hours, while Ravanna would sneeze, cough, or react to insects, alerting their prey. To compensate, Ravanna traveled to Fellhollow and crafted a willow longbow for Ulv, as its increased range reduced the need for close-quarters stealth.

The pair developed specific tactics for hunting Dragonwilds:garou. Ravanna used necromancy to enchant bones with air spells, allowing her to control wind direction and prevent the garou from detecting them by scent. She would lead garou into traps where Ulv would ambush them from hiding. Ulv and Ravanna worked together to defeat Dragonwilds:Shatterfang, an alpha wolf that had been terrorizing Bramblemead and evading the Wild Knights. Ravanna used dark magic to immobilize the wolf's bones while Ulv struck with blades made from wolf bone. When offered any reward by the villagers, they requested only Shatterfang's skull.

Death

Ulv was killed by the Dragonwilds:garou. Ravanna attempted to resurrect him using necromancy, but the attempt failed. Ravanna's grief over Ulv's death became the source of her eternal vendetta against the garou and sustains her undead existence.
