Dragonwilds:Zombie Axe

Template:External Template:Infobox Item The zombie axe is a Dragonwilds:power level 5 one-handed Dragonwilds:melee weapon that can be crafted at a Dragonwilds:blacksmith's bench. The axe and its recipe are received by completing Dragonwilds:Doric's Quest. It can be ascended at the Dragonwilds:mystic forge using Dragonwilds:ascension cores.

Its Dragonwilds:special effect is that it deals both crush and slash damage simultaneously. Both damage types are taken into account when considering Dragonwilds:monsters' weaknesses and resistances. This weapon is effective against enemies that are weak to crush but not resistant to slash (including Dragonwilds:vault guardians, Dragonwilds:putrid rats, Dragonwilds:garou thanes, Dragonwilds:skeletal marauders, and Dragonwilds:skeletal necromancers). However, against enemies that are weak to crush but resistant to slash damage (including Dragonwilds:skeletal hoplites, Dragonwilds:zogres, Dragonwilds:black knight guardians, Dragonwilds:black knight warriors, and the Dragonwilds:black knight titan), this weapon will deal slightly less damage to them because resistances lower damage (-33%) more than weaknesses increase it (+25%). Note that this damage is additive rather than multiplicative, unlike other damage modifiers (i.e. it will lower damage by a factor of 0.92 rather than 0.8375).

This weapon has a higher base damage than other similar one-handed crush weapons, but that benefit is lost against enemies that are also resistant to slash, making Dragonwilds:Skullsplitter with its +15% Dragonwilds:critical strike chance more valuable. This weapon also uses the mace moveset, which hits slower than the sword, scimitar, or whip move set, therefore against enemies that are weak to slash but not resistant to crush (including Dragonwilds:abyssal demons, Dragonwilds:lost souls, Dragonwilds:zombies, Dragonwilds:Zamorakian acolytes, and mages of zamorak), weapons like the Dragonwilds:black sword, Dragonwilds:Imaru's talon, or Dragonwilds:abyssal whip may be better choices.
