A biome tag is a group of Minecraft:biomes. Biome tags are used to to control where Minecraft:structures generate, the spawn conditions of various Minecraft:entities, and numerous other gameplay features. See below for the use of each tag. Biome tags can also be used when testing for biome arguments in commands with Template:Cd, which succeeds if the biome matches any of the biomes specified in the tag.

Drowned spawn attempts have a 1 in 15 chance to succeed to spawn in biomes in this tag (as opposed to 1 in 40 in other biomes) and are not limited to least 5 blocks below the sea level.

Coral can be farmed by using bone meal in these biomes.

These biomes must be present around a location where a monument is possible to generate.
spawns_cold_variant_farm_animals
Minecraft:Cows, Minecraft:pigs, and Minecraft:chickens that spawn in these biomes will be their cold variant. Minecraft:Sheep that spawn in these biomes will use the cold wool colors.
spawns_cold_variant_frogs
Minecraft:Frogs that spawn in these biomes will be their cold(green) variant.
spawns_coral_variant_zombie_nautilus
Minecraft:Zombie Nautiluses that spawn in these biomes will be their coral variant.
spawns_gold_rabbits
Minecraft:Rabbits in these biomes always use the gold variant, unless the biome also has the Template:Cd tag.

spawns_warm_variant_farm_animals
Minecraft:Cows, Minecraft:pigs, and Minecraft:chickens that spawn in these biomes will be their warm variant. Minecraft:Sheep that spawn in these biomes will use the warm wool colors.
spawns_warm_variant_frogs
Minecraft:Frogs that spawn in these biomes will be their warm(white) variant.
spawns_white_rabbits
Minecraft:Rabbits in these biomes have an 80% chance of being white and a 20% chance of being white splotched. Other variants will not spawn. Takes precedence over Template:Code.
stronghold_biased_to
When placing a Minecraft:stronghold, the position is moved up to 112 block on the x and z axis to a random position where the biome at y=0 is in this tag, if such a position exists.
water_on_map_outlines
These biomes appear as water on map outlines.
without_wandering_trader_spawns
Biomes where Minecraft:wandering traders do not spawn.
without_zombie_sieges
Players in these biomes cannot trigger Minecraft:zombie sieges.
has_structure/ancient_city
Ancient city can generate in these biomes.
has_structure/bastion_remnant
Bastion remnants can generate in these biomes.
has_structure/buried_treasure
Buried treasure can generate in these biomes.
has_structure/desert_pyramid
Desert pyramid can generate in these biomes.
