Minecraft:Data Center
More actions
A data center is a physical building designed to contain and regulate electronic data, such as Template:Wikipedia.
Location
Data centers are stated to be located all over the world,<ref>Template:YouTube link</ref> with one visited by the Minecraft:AI Adventurers being in what appears to be a temperate region, with plentiful trees surrounding the facility. Within the internet, it is represented by a blinding light at the end of four data tubes.
Architecture
The exterior of the data center in Minecraft:Cloud Computing is that of a white building, with only one visible floor. Two sides of the building are visible, with three windows on the front and one to the left, all the same length. Surrounding the building are several oak trees, several contained within a wall of iron bars, with what appears to be door phones installed by two elevated gates. Protruding out several sides of the building are blue wires, which turn purple when supercharged with data and plug into the top of the building, one beside what appears to be a satellite dish.
Layout
The data center featured in Minecraft:Building the Basics is represented by a collection of servers, strategically placed to make the shape of the word AI. Minecraft:Cloud Computing depicts the same blocks, now placed in a series of corridors, significantly wider than the prior configuration, if shorter.
History
While being told about the beginning of the Template:Wikipedia, the adventurers Minecraft:Chicken and Minecraft:Agent walked underneath and through a data center, before turning around to see its full silhouette.
Later, while attempting to arrange contact with a Minecraft:turtle, Chicken and Agent discovered they had the ability to transport themselves over the internet, through a Template:Wikipedia. Using the power of their question, they rocketed through cyberspace and somehow emerged within the physical data center, witnessing the machinery used to power the AIs they relied on for the past several years. While exploring, they identified their question being answered by hundreds of machines, and return to the Minecraft:beach to see their question answered.
