Vibrant Adventures is a free Minecraft:Marketplace adventure map made to promote Minecraft:Vibrant Visuals and other new Vibrant Visuals packs in the Marketplace.

Summary

The player spawns in a Minecraft:cherry blossom valley, with a vibrant atmosphere, music, and decorations. A pathway leads down to a village, decorated with Minecraft:villagers and various wooden builds. Once the player arrives at a stairway down, the camera moves to show the valley with the logo of the map. A quest appears prompting the player to get to the Village Elder, and the path is highlighted with glowing particles.

The village is filled with villagers performing jobs at their houses, some advertising signs, and a lot of natural decorations with water. The center is a large dome with a cherry trunk, in front of which stands the Village Elder. The Village Elder asks the player to bring the Hub back to life by completing quests. They hand over a World Map and a Guidebook and notes the quest Minecraft:NPCs at the end of the village paths. The Guidebook contains detailed information and tips about each quest, and the World Map allows to teleport to unlocked quest NPCs.

Petal Rush

The first NPC requests to bring Petal Piles scattered across the Flower Fields back to the Sakura Tree using whirlpools. The player gets 4 minutes to collect 10 petals scattered in an enclosed valley. Some are hidden behind petal piles, and the player can use petal whirlpools to gain height in the parcour and reach the petals, which are collected by walking over them.

Completing the quests restores foliage to the Sakura Tree in the center of the village.

Sandstorm Rescue

The second NPC tells that a Minecraft:happy ghast is stuck by a broken portal in a desert with a sandstorm. The player can block gusts with Cover Stones and rescue the happy ghast.

The desert is a rocky canyon with parcour, and wind gusts constantly push the player backward. By standing in the green areas behind Cover Rocks, wind gusts can't reach the player and they can wait before it is safe to walk further. The difficulty increases when wind gusts can push the player in lava pools next to the path. However, the player has Minecraft:Fire Resistance meaning that the lava pools will only slow them down.

At the end of the desert is a ruined portal with a Minecraft:dried ghast. After touching, the quest is completed and the player returns to the village with the dried ghast in the hotbar, unlocking the next quest.

Prism Circuit

In a Geode Cavern, a beam shines through the ceiling which can be redirected by turning Amethyst Prisms, into a receiver to light the path. The Geode Cavern is a cave filled with lava, Minecraft:geodes, and parcour over Minecraft:mineshaft tracks, with an Amethyst Prisms at every turn. These can be rotated by punching them, to lead the beam along the pathway. The parcour is filled with chests containing bows and arrows, and snowballs, which can be used to rotate prisms that are out of reach.

Turning the final prism redirects the beam into an amethyst geode known as the receiver, completing the quest. The player is then teleported to an amethyst receiver next to the Sakura Tree, where the dried ghast can now be placed.

Along with holes for moonlight, water ponds, and glowing prisms, the cavern has a unique atmosphere with the features from Vibrant Visuals.

Waterworks

An NPC tells to get water wheels working again to send water into aqueducts leading it to the dome. The player gets sent to a lush aquifer, greatly enhanced by the graphics of Vibrant Visuals, while holding a Minecraft:stone axe. Next to coral decorations underwater is a prismarine temple, resembling an Minecraft:ocean monument, forming the entrance to an underwater maze.

The player has no Water Breathing, but magma blocks and air pockets are scattered throughout the maze, which extends to multiple floors. The maze ends in a large temple filled with waterworks and vibrant prismarine decorations. Following blue arrows, the player can navigate through smaller mazes to reach higher floors with levers that open water gates. Using the axe, wooden water wheels can be activated to create water streams.

After completing the quest of enabling all water wheels, water starts flowing around the Sakura Tree and the dried ghast will be hydrated.

Wisp Escort

A Minecraft:Wisp is on the run in a Minecraft:snowy taiga at night, and the player needs to catch it through ice and cold while surrounded by hostile mobs. They receive four golden apples, an Unbreaking I diamond sword and bow, 32 arrows, and iron armor. Following the path covered with snow and ice, the player needs to escort the Wisp by standing near it, while defeating all mobs that spawn around them. The pathway ends at a higher spot with an overview of the snowy taiga valley, and aurora borealis in the sky.

A Minecraft:snow golem station will be opened next near the Sakura Tree. The player can interact with the snow golem to get snowballs for the happy ghast later.

Firefly Constellation

An NPC requests to use a Minecraft:lantern to guide Minecraft:fireflies that were lost in the night, to the star markers and form a constellation. The player receives the lantern in a lush Minecraft:mangrove swamp at night, and can interact with glowing fireflies to lure them into blue marked spots. Only one group can be moved at a time, and they get lost when moving too quickly. By using the Magic Spyglass, the camera moves to give an overview of the constellation.

After adding all nine fireflies to the constellation, the quest is completed and the player returns to the Hub to finish the adventure.

End

In a cutscene, the completed village is shown with the Sakura Tree, the grown-up happy ghast, and a village constructing a harness. Most villagers are celebrating in front of the tree, and the player receives a Time Tool and Weather Tool. The Time Tool forwards the Minecraft:daylight cycle, and the Weather Tool allows to cycle between clear Minecraft:weather, Minecraft:rain, and Minecraft:thunder. The player can collect a Minecraft:harness at the house left from the villagers, and dye it using the paint cans.

At the Village Elder, who explains the tools and the happy ghast, the player can harness the happy ghast and ride it. To complete the map, they need to fly through a roof window, which opens a cutscene of Minecraft:Alex stepping on the happy ghast and flying through the window, followed by the credits. After the credits, the player is riding the happy ghast above the dome, allowing to fly above the entire map. A wall of Minecraft:barriers prevents moving into the void outside the map, or above the build limit. Each quest can also be played again.
