Dragonwilds:Goblin (race)

From SAS Gaming Wiki

Template:External Template:Otheruses Goblins are green humanoid creatures that lack intelligence but make up for it with immense numbers. They follow the god, Dragonwilds:Bandos, also known to the goblins as the "Big High War God".Template:CiteJournalTemplate:CiteJournal After they arrived in Dragonwilds:Ashenfall during the Dragonwilds:Third Age, they first initiated conflict between the humans and eventually with the Dragonwilds:Garou and their allied dragons.

History

When the goblins initially arrived at Ashenfall, they started to raid many villagers' houses and cause mischievous chaos, leading the villagers to be annoyed and chase the goblins down.Template:CiteJournal In the year 4209, the climate around Ashenfall became cold, and goblins needed a place to escape the treacherous climate. With this, humans started sharing their meals with the goblins and slowly allied with the two. Both spoke of previous battles from their initial arrival to Ashenfall and have talked about cutting down the beasts that were further into Ashenfall.Template:CiteJournalTemplate:CiteJournal

Human-Garou War

Template:Main The goblins would send word to their emissary, and speak with the Saradominists priests, to form an alliance.Template:CiteJournal Bandos would come, and send more of his forces, including more goblins and assist the humans against Dragonwilds:Lougrim and her gaurou army. While the forces of the garou were being pushed back. However, despite the humans finally turning the tides with their alliance, the garou's goddess has made an alliance with the dragonkin, offering her dragons to help turn the tides.Template:CiteJournal Bandos would personally interviene, attacking one of the stronger dragons, Dragonwilds:Velgar. The god struck first with his greataxe, which bounced off Velgar's stony hide but still left a deep gash.Template:CiteJournal Then, in a display of bravado and arrogance, Bandos removed his weapon, armor, and protective ward, and charged after Velgar unarmed.Template:CiteJournal Bandos had Velgar in a headlock, his nails digging into Velgar's flesh and causing bleeding wounds. Victory seemed assured for Bandos, but in a final act of desperation, Velgar summoned a great stone from the air that dazed him. Seizing the opportunity, Velgar unleashed an anima-infused poison blast, which poisoned and weakened Bandos, shifting the momentum of the battle.

Realizing their god had fled the battle, but also went against his own teaching, the goblins were left with questions. Some would give up religion alltogether and become a baker, others would decide to worship Velgar.Template:CiteJournal After the Dragonwilds:Dragon Rebellion, the goblins were left alone, along with the garou, becoming one of the few inhabitant within Ashenfall.
