KotHaars are eternal sentinels of the Dragonwilds:Elder Gods, tasked to guarding the Dragonwilds:Lens, a device of the Dragonwilds:Elder Gods that was made to ensure that Dragonwilds:Gielinor's sun gave the right amount of heat to the world. They kept the Lens safe in Dragonwilds:Umbral Sands. Sometime during the Template:RSL, Dragonwilds:Fuzan had taken over Dragonwilds:Umbral Sands and found the lens. He sieges it and uses it to turn Dragonwilds:Umbral Sands into a vast desert wasteland, where the heat from the sun scorches those that walks through the sands. This causes the KotHaar to fall under Fuzan's control, where he forces them to move the lens towards his tower where he would use it to summon Sandstorms and ensure his lair is protected from anyone who would try to invade it.
