Dragonwilds:Pharaoh's Sceptre

From SAS Gaming Wiki

Template:External Template:Infobox Item The pharaoh's sceptre is a Dragonwilds:power level 7 Dragonwilds:staff that can be crafted at a Dragonwilds:mystic forge. The recipe is learned from the Dragonwilds:Icthlarian fetish, the reward from the quest Dragonwilds:Contact!. It can be ascended at the mystic forge using Dragonwilds:ascension cores.

Its Dragonwilds:special effect is Royal Mandate: While holding the Sceptre, the wielder is able to use the Dragonwilds:Confuse spell without consuming Dragonwilds:runes. Its special action is Sworn Servant: This summons Dragonwilds:Buddy, a friendly Dragonwilds:kalphite to attack and distract enemies in combat. Buddy can be up for up to 3 minutes as long as it is still alive, and will take another five minutes for it to respawn when recasting the sceptre's special action. However, due to Hollow Vessel, while Buddy is active, the wielder regains Dragonwilds:stamina 10% slower than normal.

Although it can be nice to have a companion on the sands, Buddy can cause certain combat encounters to fail to end correctly (like the Dragonwilds:nightmare crucibles, Dragonwilds:fight caves, or the fight against Dragonwilds:Fuzan) since they wait for every enemy in the arena to be killed and Buddy counts against that tally.<ref>This is a known bug (pun intended).</ref> The 25 Dragonwilds:astral rune cost for Confuse is also not very expensive, and although handy, does not provide any Dragonwilds:Magic Dragonwilds:XP from confused enemies attacking other enemies. As this staff has no other direct benefits to the user, other staves are often used over it.
