13w41a is the tenth Minecraft:snapshot for Minecraft:Java Edition 1.7.2, released on October 10, 2013,<ref>Template:Cite</ref> which adds Minecraft:stained glass and their pane variants.

• Now connect to each other and Minecraft:glass.
• Are rendered differently, and have 2 pixel thick collision boxes.

Minecraft:Ice

• Fixed transparency.
• Is now visible through other ice.

Minecraft:Iron bars

• Now connect to each other and Minecraft:glass.
• Are rendered differently, and have 2 pixel thick collision boxes.

Minecraft:Locked chest

• Removed the block entirely. Its ID is now used by stained glass.

Minecraft:Water

• Fixed transparency.
• Is now visible through other water blocks.

• Fixed transparency.
• Are now visible through other Nether portals.

Network code

• Uses Netty now.

  • Handshake and ping procedure is being redone.

Distance effects

• Minecraft:Item frames no longer follow the camera and jitter with camera rotation at extreme coordinates.
• Minecraft:Paintings also no longer follow the camera and jitter with camera rotation at extreme coordinates.
• Fixed a desynchronisation issue that appeared at high coordinates; this varied depending on hardware.
  • In some cases, this simply caused entities, water, ice and the wireframe block outline box to appear slightly desynchronised from the world itself. However, in others, the former grouping would jitter severely.

Trivia

• Minecraft:13w41b has the same protocol version as 13w41a, but they are not compatible with each other.
• 13w41a was previously removed from the Minecraft:launcher for some time, but was added back in September 2018.
