14w27a is the thirty-second Minecraft:snapshot released for Minecraft:Java Edition 1.8, released on July 2, 2014,<ref>Template:Cite</ref> which adds Minecraft:rabbits and rabbit-related items as well as raw and Minecraft:cooked mutton.

  • Naming a rabbit spawn egg "Toast", or using a Minecraft:name tag with that name on a rabbit, results in a special skin as a memorial to user xyzen420's girlfriend's lost rabbit 'Toast'.<ref>Template:Tweet</ref>
  • The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog:
    • Template:Frac chance of spawning; it is hostile and deals Template:Hp on Easy difficulty, Template:Hp on Normal and Template:Hp on Hard.
    • A reference to the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail.<ref>Template:Mcnet</ref>
    • It is perfectly white except for its mouth, which has a blood red outline.
    • It can be directly spawned in with the command Template:Cmd.
• Can be tamed/bred using Minecraft:carrots, Minecraft:golden carrots or Minecraft:dandelions.
  • Cannot be bred unless tamed.
• Are scared of the player and run away from it when untamed, similarly to Minecraft:ocelots.

Command format

Minecraft:NBT format

• New {CommandStats:} tag for Minecraft:command blocks and Minecraft:signs.
  • Allows a Minecraft:command block or Minecraft:sign to increase a certain score in the Minecraft:scoreboard when it runs successfully.
    • The command increases the score based on the number of items/blocks/entities/successes.
    • For example, a command block with this tag running a command which affects items (e.g. Template:Cmd) causes it to update the score based on the number of items given.
  • Usage: {CommandStats:{AffectedItemsName:"playername", AffectedItemsObjective:"objective", AffectedBlocksName:"playername", AffectedBlocksObjective:"objective", AffectedEntitiesName:"playername", AffectedEntitiesObjective:"objective", SuccessCountName:"playername", SuccessCountObjective:"objective"}}.

• Now have 7 slices instead of 6.

World generation

Minecraft:Debug mode world type

• Tweaked world creation.
  • Other world options are not available.
  • Only Minecraft:Spectator mode can be enabled.
• Now includes all block states rather than all data values.
  • This includes all possible states of Minecraft:redstone wire, Minecraft:fire, Minecraft:tripwire, Minecraft:stairs, etc.
• Arrangement of blocks is very different and a lot smaller, every block state only generates once.

Minecraft:Nether fortresses

• They are now affected by the "generated structures" option.

Gameplay

Minecraft:Particles

• Changed the particle effect when landing on a block, looks a lot more scattered.

Minecraft:Effects

• Changed the effect color of Minecraft:Jump Boost from Template:Color to Template:Color.

General

Minecraft:Block models

• Replaced block state names with the actual block state data, separated by commas.

Minecraft:Debug screen

• Now shows variant states after the item (e.g. minecraft:cauldron[level=1]).

• 14w27a was previously removed from the Minecraft:launcher for some time, but was added back in September 2018.
