This guide is a simplified overview of all the changes in the Template:JE Beta 1.3.x releases, which assumes at least some familiarity with Beta 1.2.x releases

Wooden Slab	File:Petrified Oak Slab JE1.png		Pickaxe	Allows players to walk upward without jumping. Despite its appearance, it is fireproof and requires a pickaxe to mine.
Minecraft:Seamless Stone Slab	File:Seamless Stone Slab JE1.png	Unobtainable.	Pickaxe	Unused block. Crashes the game if the cursor is hovered over it. The double slab version of this was a precursor to Minecraft:Smooth Stone.
Minecraft:Sandstone Slab	File:Sandstone Slab JE1 BE1.png		Pickaxe	Allows players to walk upward without jumping.
Minecraft:Bed	File:Red Bed (N) JE1.png		Axe	Allows players to skip the night.
Minecraft:Redstone Repeater	File:Redstone Repeater (S) JE1.png		Pickaxe	Allows redstone signals to be delayed. Allows redstone signals to be carried over longer distances.
Minecraft:Crying Obsidian	File:Crying Obsidian Programmer Art.png	Exists only as a texture.	N/A	Originally intended to be used to set the player's spawn.
