Minecraft:Stygian Witch

Template:Infobox character The three Stygian witches are mythological monsters residing in Minecraft:Medusa's Cave in the Minecraft:Minecraft Mini-Series.

Appearance

A Stygian witch has pale skin with warts, gray hair, missing teeth, a white blindfold, and a brown toga.

Biography

Upon entering Medusa's Cave in search for the first Minecraft:enchanted ender eye, Minecraft:Poseidon's contestants encountered a coven of Stygian witches along the way. Frightened, Minecraft:CommuniKate mistook them for three Medusas, and Minecraft:Quinn corrected her and explained that they are able of predicting the future. Upon hearing this, an excited Kate rushed out to the coven and asked if she would become a superstar or a mega superstar, before one of them hissed at her. Quinn then warned her that the Stygian witches have "a taste for flesh", and the witches attempted chasing and catching the contestants, failing due to their inability to see them through their blindfolds. In order to stop them, Minecraft:Zed dug a ditch of lava in front of the entrance to Medusa's lair, causing one of the witches to burn her foot.

Behavior

Stygian witches, as the name implies, are capable of predicting the future. Due to them wearing a blindfold, they focus more on the future than the present. They also are known for eating human flesh and aggressive nature toward anyone approaching, hissing at and chasing them in order to eat them.

Trivia

• The name Stygian is in relation to the Template:W.
• The Stygian witches are called Template:W in Template:W. There are three of them with the names Deino (or Dino), Enyo, and Pemphredo (or Pephredo). These names are not given in the series.
• The Stygian witches in the Minecraft:Minecraft Mini-Series are based on the "Stygian" minifigure in series 12 from Mattel which in turn was based on a texture for the Minecraft:witch in the Greek Mythology Mash-up pack.
