2020	In 2020, prior to the 400i's introduction, the ship assets for the 400i were already in the game files, but not in the game itself. This meant that anyone could search the game files and extract the models details as well as the ships information/stats. Soon after, the assets were posted on StarCitizen:Reddit without Cloud Imperium's consent.<ref>400i game assets posted on Reddit 1</ref><ref>400i game assets posted on Reddit 2</ref>
2021-04-01	On April Fools' Day 2021, StarCitizen:Cloud Imperium teased the ship by introducing the invisible ship StarCitizen:Origin 404, when the community was expecting the 400i reveal.<ref>Origin 404 - presentation page</ref><ref>Inside Star Citizen: A New Vision \| Winter 2021</ref>
2021-10-09	The 400i was officially revealed at StarCitizen:CitizenCon 2951 on October 9, 2021 <ref>400i panel in CitizenCon 2951: Ship Talk</ref> and was released in Alpha 3.15.0. It was made available for in-game purchase with aUEC in Alpha 3.17.0.
