Cry-Astro is a StarCitizen:Human franchised chain of fuel and repair stations with locations across the StarCitizen:United Empire of Earth (UEE). A recent entrant to the fuel station market, it has gained market share by presenting itself as a cheaper, hands-on alternative to its competitors. Its marketing campaigns, which feature absurdist humor and deliberately crude imagery, have attracted a wave of younger clientele. History

Cry-Astro entered the service-station market as an upstart aimed at the growing population of younger pilots, positioning itself against the older StarCitizen:Fuel Pump chain. Where Fuel Pump offers a full-service solution, Cry-Astro offers a cheaper, hands-on alternative, encouraging pilots to make their own decisions about their own ships. Walls of do-it-yourself components and berths for self-installation are a common sight at Cry-Astro service bases. Cry-Astro is also known for the food sold at its stations. Many locations serve what has become known as "rubber meals," a large menu of fast-food options ranging from comfort favorites such as StarCitizen:TipTop dumplings to simplified takes on StarCitizen:boumbo, the signature dish of the Croshaw region. Reviewers generally agree that the food is neither good nor healthy, but consider it a comfort to find familiar fare far from home.<ref name="portfolio"/>

The company is widely recognized for promotional gimmicks aimed at a younger market. These have ranged from the "Can't Miss!" discount StarCitizen:missile reload program to the "Run Flat Out" program, in which attendants applied a comically squashed StarCitizen:flatcat decal to a visiting ship's cockpit.
