StarCitizen:Fuse/Upstream

From SAS Gaming Wiki

Template:Entity Fuses are small consumable components that serve as quickly replaceable bridging elements for power and data networks. They can be looted from wrecked or active vessels, bought from vendors, or fabricated on board a salvage ship, and all fuses can be stored for later usage.<ref name="ig481">Template:Cite game</ref>

Usage

  • Function: Acts as a one-time key for "fuse-locked" doors and devices.
  • Consumption: Each fuse is consumed the moment it successfully unlocks a lock.

Looting

A fuse box from an asteroid base is shown below, labelled to show the states of the fuse box.

Fabricating fuses on salvage ships

Fuses can be produced directly on any [[StarCitizen::Category:Salvage ships|salvage ship]], specifically the StarCitizen:Vulture, StarCitizen:Fortune, and StarCitizen:Reclaimer. Only a small amount of raw materials is required: a modest quantity of Refined Metals (RMC) and Composite Materials (CM). A single SCU of each is enough to print several fuses, making the process very material-efficient.

With the blueprint in place, open the ship's crafting menu, select "Fuse," and confirm the print job. Each fuse takes roughly 30 seconds of real-time to fabricate, and the printer can queue multiple units, allowing you to stockpile fuses while traveling or docked.

Buying fuses

Fuses are sold at a number of outposts and jump-point stations throughout the galaxy. Most major stations (e.g., Area 18, Lorville, New Babbage) stock them in the hardware or salvage sections, and many smaller outposts along the jump routes carry a supply. A list of where to purchase fuses is available here.
