StarCitizen:Juno Starwerk

Juno Starwerk is a StarCitizen:human spacecraft component manufacturer that produces StarCitizen:coolers, StarCitizen:power plants, and StarCitizen:quantum drives. One of the oldest companies in operation, Juno produces several lines of devices that have been refined over many years. It is especially known for its power plant lines, which include the StarCitizen:Diligence, StarCitizen:Endurance, StarCitizen:Jennet, and StarCitizen:Trommel. The company also produces a large number of coolers, including the StarCitizen:Snowfall and StarCitizen:ThermalCore, and quantum drives, including the StarCitizen:Goliath, StarCitizen:Kama, and StarCitizen:Yaluk.<ref name="jp0907">Template:Cite Jump Point</ref>

History

Second only to StarCitizen:RSI in longevity within the space industry, Juno Starwerk was founded in the StarCitizen:24th century to build long-haul freighters that supported the rapid Human expansion into other star systems. Utilitarian above all else, these ships were designed to haul as much weight as possible as cheaply as possible. As competition increased over time, the company's share of the ship market shrank, but its components had earned a reputation for dependability and ease of maintenance. Direct sales of these components soon made up the majority of the company's income, and in StarCitizen:2513, it ceased ship manufacture entirely to focus on supplying industrial-strength components.

In parts of the 'verse, there are generations of mechanics who have passed down knowledge and techniques for working on Juno power plants like family heirlooms. This long history also means that Juno parts and repairs are easy to come by.<ref name="jp0907" />
