COMMENTATOR: Thanks for having me, Jim. And yes, our group is trying to make sure these recent attacks don't lead to unfair profiling of our neighbors in the next system over. When piracy gets really bad, extremist groups always rush to blame Pyro, calling to shut down the StarCitizen:jump point. Let us not paint the people of an entire system with too broad a brush!

May 2955 Regen Tech Failure HERRIMAN: I'm James Herriman, and this is an SSN Newsflash. Bringing you the Empire's news in under a minute. Today's headline: Medical communities announce widespread failure of regen tech. In the past 24 hours, over 3,000 incidents of imprinted humans failing to regen has thrown the Empire into chaos, leaving many to suspect that the life-saving technology might not be as safe as previously thought. Imperator Addison released a statement calling for an all hands on deck approach to finding a solution.

ADDISON: I understand a lot of people are scared, but know that we are leveraging the full power of the UEE and the science community to rectify this problem as quickly as possible.

HERRIMAN: That's our Newsflash, we'll see you next time.

July 2955 ASD Scandal HERRIMAN: This is James Herriman with another SSN Newsflash. Allegations have been raised against famed weapon manufacturer Associated Science and Development after evidence surfaced regarding a research facility that was experimenting on irradiated StarCitizen:Valakkar young under the direction of Dr. Logan Jorrit. Now, while not technically illegal due to the lab's location in Pyro, animal rights groups have lobbied for an investigation to be launched into ASD's research practices in all of their facilities to make sure they're operating within accepted parameters. A company representative claims that they will cooperate with any investigation, but stress that Addison's Second Life Initiative provides a wide umbrella for current scientific endeavors, especially ones regarding the regen crisis. We're out of time, we'll see you on the next Newsflash.
