The StarCitizen:RSI Pegasus-class Escort Carrier is the Empire's premier small carrier, capable of supporting the operations of up to 32 starfighters far from friendly supply.<ref name="ReferenceA">Template:Cite RSI</ref> Typically it will accommodate 16 Hornets and 16 StarCitizen:Gladiators, but the fighter groups can be tailored as missions demand. In addition to the fighters, there are also two Argo Utility Ships on-board. If needed, two StarCitizen:Retaliators can be held in underslung positions.<ref name="livestream">2014 Holiday Livestream (Transcript)</ref>

Development

Originally named the Panther, The Pegasus was part of the $15 million stretch goal, which was reached prior to August 1, 2013. The ship concept was designed by StarCitizen:Ryan Church (Freelance Conceptist). It was being developed by StarCitizen:Foundry 42 and was last said to be in the white-boxing phase on December 2014.<ref name="ReferenceA"/> It was to be featured in the second installment of StarCitizen:Squadron 42.<ref>The Star Citizen Exclusive Interview: Erin Roberts</ref>

Trivia

  • A Pegasus was described as being the player's home for a significant part of Squadron 42<ref name="livestream"/>
  • The whitebox interior of the Pegasus was among the files from the leak that happened on the week of May 22 in 2015.
  • As of late 2021, while it is presumed that this ship will still appear in Squadron 42, no further official information has been forthcoming since the references listed in this article.
