Rust Society is a mentoring and information sharing organisation for haulers and salvagers. Rust Society originally started in 2423 by Franklin "Knocks" Yeung as an informal gathering of pilots, taking its name from Rust a grain alcohol the pilots enjoyed.
During the StarCitizen:First Tevarin War, Rust Society stepped in to aid the United Planets of Earth's struggling supply lines. Increasing the organisations membership and notoriety.
Today, Rust Society has grown to have chapters in most of the StarCitizen:United Empire of Earth systems.<ref>Template:Cite RSI</ref>
