Seraphim Systems was a small StarCitizen:human spacecraft manufacturer based in the city of StarCitizen:Tram on StarCitizen:Asura, known for the quality of its planetary shuttles and small transport ships. Though short-lived, Seraphim Systems formed the core of what became StarCitizen:Crusader Industries, one of the aerospace industry's most prominent manufacturers.<ref name=":0">Template:Cite RSI</ref> In recognition of its importance, the trade hub above the planet StarCitizen:Crusader is named StarCitizen:Seraphim Station.
History
In its early days, Seraphim Systems produced excellent planetary shuttles but in limited quantities, and it struggled to meet customer demand because of insufficient production capacity. The company began to lose business as customers proved unwilling to wait out its long delivery times. It was unable to secure additional capital for expansion because of its location on Asura, which had experienced an economic downturn after unfounded sanctions from Imperator StarCitizen:Messer XI.<ref name=":0" />
In 2799, StarCitizen:August Dunlow, an entrepreneur and former anti-Messer activist, acquired a controlling interest in Seraphim Systems. Dunlow rebranded the company as Crusader Industries and significantly expanded its operations. Under his leadership, Crusader Industries transitioned from manufacturing shuttles alone to producing large-scale transport ships and became a major aerospace company.<ref name=":0" />
Seraphim's original CEO, StarCitizen:Janna Malone, opposed the rebranding but agreed to it on the condition that Crusader would commit to morally driven business practices. That commitment to corporate social responsibility and charity work became a defining aspect of Crusader Industries' culture. Malone, a deeply religious individual, believed the Seraphim name represented the company's religiously inspired values, but the Seraphim Systems brand was retired after the acquisition.<ref name=":0" />
