The Stormwal (called 'Space Whale' by the designers) is a flying creature which lives in the atmosphere of StarCitizen:Crusader. The animal currently only exists in concept. According to the [[StarCitizen::Category:Concept art images|concept art]], the carcass of a space whale is circa 100 metres long. They are hunted because their body produces a highly valuable resource.<ref name=":0" />
Stormwals may be an endangered species, as indicated by posters seen at StarCitizen:Security Post Kareah, which claim "Crusader is dedicated to the conservation of the Stormwals and their natural habitat".<ref>Template:Cite game</ref>
In Popular Culture
There currently sits a large sculpture of a stormwal on StarCitizen:Orison's StarCitizen:Cloudview Center platform made by StarCitizen:Bipasha Zhu. Cutting a stark contrast against the vibrant sky, the sweeping lines of Orison’s signature stormwal sculpture captures the grace and beauty of the gentle creatures it portrays. Formally titled "Until Again", artist Bipasha Zhu says that she was inspired by the city’s harmony and weightless strength. To better understand her bashful subjects, Bipasha spent a week living in a cloud submersible studying the stormwals up close.<ref>Template:Cite game</ref>
StarCitizen:Crusader Industries has adopted the stormwal as its company mascot.
