StarCitizen:Tau Plus (4x Telescopic)

The Tau Plus (4x Telescopic) is an optic manufactured by StarCitizen:NV-TAC.<ref name="ingame">Template:Cite game</ref> A proprietary optics coating keeps its image clear across light levels, letting the user engage targets precisely at medium range.

NV-TAC’s highest magnification options are dedicated telescopic sights that allow sniper-level targeting options in exchange for a reduction in aim-speed. Telescopic sights allow for long-distance magnifications and offer a full range of vision options. The technology uses traditional optics to offer the most detailed possible view of the battlefield. The Tau Plus model offers 4x the magnification of a standard gunsight.<ref name="jp0711">Template:Cite Jump Point</ref>

Development

The Tau Plus (4x Telescopic) was introduced in Alpha 3.6.0 along with the introduction of weapon attachments. It is the one of the first telescopic sights introduced in game.<ref name="patch360">Template:Cite RSI</ref> It was reworked in Alpha 3.7.0.<ref name="patch370">Template:Cite RSI</ref>
