Blocks and items

Armor

  • Is now once again duplicated when equipped using the quick equip functionality in Creative mode to match Template:JE (unless it is swapped with another piece).

Armor stands

  • Can now be equipped with elytra.

Banners

  • Rearranged the order of colors in the Creative inventory.

Beds

  • If the player clicks on the bed, but is not right beside it, it now shows the message: "You may not rest now, the bed is too far away".
    • Previously the player would get no message, but would be unable to sleep.
  • Now partially reduce fall damage.
  • The red colored bed has now been renamed from just "Bed" to "Red Bed".

Cobblestone walls and mossy cobblestone walls

Durability bar

  • The colors of the durability bar, which is displayed on damaged items in the hotbar and inventories, have been changed.
    • The color is now bright during the entire length of the bar, when previously it would fade through a set of not so bright oranges and yellows, it will now fade through clear yellow and orange.
    • Also the background of the durability bar is now completely black, where it used to be transparent.

End portal blocks

  • The starfield effect was changed to match that of the End gateway block. It no longer changes perspective with respect to the player, but now remains static with respect to the game screen.

Farmland

  • Pick blocking it now gives farmland instead of dirt.

Flower pots

Iron bars, glass panes, and fences

  • Will now visually connect when adjacent to the full-block side of a stair.

Iron trapdoors

  • No longer have a right-click action - previously they would result in the hand swinging, and would override other valid right click actions such as snowball throwing.

Magma blocks

Rails

  • All sloped rail types' hitbox heights are decreased from a full block to a half block.

Snow layers

  • Can now be placed on top of upside-down stairs.

Spawn eggs

  • Updated textures for mule and donkey spawn eggs.

Torches

  • Can now be placed on the full-block side of stairs.

Mobs

Creepers

  • If a creeper is inflicted with a potion effect, its explosion causes a lingering effect of the potion.

Elder guardians

  • Now drop wet sponges again instead of dry sponges.
  • Now drop cooked fish instead of raw fish if killed while on fire.

Ender dragon and wither

Endermen and blazes

Guardians

  • Now drop cooked fish instead of raw fish if killed while on fire.

Strays

  • Now have their own sounds instead of having the same sounds as regular skeletons.

Villagers

  • Nitwits are now able to spawn.

Non-mob entities

Painting

  • Now tries to place the largest possible in the available space it has.

World generation

Gameplay

  • Reduced the amount of hunger drain that many actions cause, but increased the drain caused by health regeneration.
  • Players walking backwards now use the same animation as moving forward instead of rotating the model to the side as if they are going sideways.
  • Multiple bossbars can now show without overlapping.
  • Bossbars now have a smooth animation when filling up or emptying.
  • Players can now be pushed by mobs.
  • Closing the crafting, enchanting table, or anvil interface with items inside no longer drops the items in front of the player, but sends them instead to the inventory.
  • Sneaking now prevents drops from heights of more than 0.6 blocks; previously, it was 1 full block or greater.
  • Added a tooltip for pick block.
  • Mending and Infinity are now mutually exclusive.
