Template:MC/Dead link/doc

Template:Documentation header Template:Shortcut This template is used after references in which the link no longer functions, and adds the page to Category:Dead links.

This template should not be used if either an archive is available for the link, or if an alternative reference is available.

Usage

Simply place this template after the non-functioning link within the reference.

The parameter Template:P can be set to display a title, stating what no longer works or how long the link has been "dead".

Example.{{dead link}} → Example.Template:Dead link

Example.{{dead link|found dead April 2015}} → Example.Template:Dead link
