Usage

This template may only be used on user pages of users who have not made any contributions for at least a year.

In general, it's preferable to fix or comment out broken links and other maintenance issues individually; this template should be considered more of a last resort when there are too many maintenance issues to be worth correcting. It is not necessary to place this template on the userpage of every inactive user, especially when it contains no maintenance issues.
