Template:Infobox block Warped nylium is a variant of Minecraft:netherrack that generates in Minecraft:the Nether.
Obtaining
Breaking
Nylium drops itself only when mined with a Minecraft:pickaxe enchanted with Minecraft:Silk Touch; if mined with a normal pickaxe, it drops Minecraft:netherrack. If mined without a pickaxe, it drops nothing.
Natural generation
Warped nylium generates in the Minecraft:warped forest biome.
Mob loot
Warped nylium is dropped when an Minecraft:enderman dies while holding it.
Post-generation
Template:Ctrl Minecraft:bone meal on Minecraft:netherrack that is placed next to or adjacent to warped nylium transforms the netherrack into warped nylium. Minecraft:Air must be above the netherrack during this process. This transformation can also be done by activating a Minecraft:dispenser with bone meal directly into that netherrack block. If both types of nylium are present, there is an equal chance of either being spread.
Renewability
Template:Exclusive As Minecraft:netherrack generates in Minecraft:Nether portals spawn floating, using bone meal on netherrack turns them into warped nylium, making it Minecraft:renewable.
Usage
Similar to Minecraft:grass blocks and Minecraft:mycelium, warped nylium decays (based on Minecraft:random ticks) into netherrack when an full Minecraft:opaque block is placed above it. However, unlike grass blocks and mycelium, it does not decay underneath Minecraft:water or Minecraft:lava.<ref>Template:Bug</ref> It decays when covered with Minecraft:snow.<ref>Template:Bug</ref>
Like mycelium and Minecraft:podzol, Minecraft:mushrooms can remain on warped nylium blocks in any Minecraft:light level. Minecraft:Huge mushrooms can be grown by using bone meal on mushrooms planted on warped nylium.
Minecraft:Warped fungi can likewise be grown into Minecraft:huge warped fungi using Minecraft:bone meal. However, bone meal cannot be applied to Minecraft:crimson fungus on top of the warped nylium, even if it can be positioned there, it is necessary to plant in Minecraft:crimson nylium.
Similar to Minecraft:grass blocks, the player can apply Minecraft:bone meal to warped nylium, when it has Minecraft:air above. The warped nylium and surrounding blocks attempt to position vegetation from the Nether, according to the table below. In all cases, the vegetation can only replace air.
| Block | Chance | Can be positioned | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Template:BlockLink | 85% |
Template:BlockLink |
Try to position 9 times in a 5×1×5 area around above the nylium, with a triangular distribution. |

| Template:BlockLink | 1% | ||
| Template:BlockLink | 100% |
Same positioning as before, but occurring later. Does not replace the previous vegetation. | |
| Template:BlockLink | 46.67% | Nothing is positioned Template:Frac of the time. In the other cases, it attempts to position 9 times in a 7×3×7 region centered above the warped nylium and with uniform distribution, after the placement of the previous vegetation. Upon finding a position, it searches up to 32 blocks downward for a block that is not air.
The age is random between 17 and 25, with a uniform distribution. The twisting vines has a probability of Template:Frac of being size 1 and a probability of either Template:Frac of being size 2 or 3. |

Trivia
- The name is a portmanteau of "Nether" and "Minecraft:Mycelium", the name of the part of a fungus analogous to roots.
