A stone shovel is a variant of Minecraft:shovel that is crafted from Minecraft:cobblestone. It is used to break Minecraft:dirt, Minecraft:sand, Minecraft:gravel and other related blocks faster, to create Minecraft:dirt paths from dirt-related blocks, and to extinguish Minecraft:campfires. It is the fifth-highest Minecraft:tier of shovel, having higher Minecraft:mining efficiency, attack damage, and durability than a Minecraft:wooden shovel.

Digging
A stone shovel can be used to break dirt and soil-type materials faster. When breaking a block, it uses 1 durability. For blocks that break instantly, it uses 0 durability.

A stone shovel can be used to create a Minecraft:dirt path by Template:Control (not digging) the stone shovel on any one of the following blocks, losing one durability point:
