Template:UnobtainableTemplate:Removed feature Template:Infobox biome The mushroom field shore or mushroom island shore is a technical biome that represented both the shores and the Minecraft:rivers of the mushroom fields. It no longer generates since Minecraft:Caves & Cliffs: Part II, and was removed in Java Edition.
Description
Old
The mushroom field shore generated when a river cut through mushroom fields as well as when it bordered an ocean, unless the ocean was a deep variant, in which case a steep cliff generated instead. The terrain of this biome was much flatter and shallower in elevation, similar to beaches, though it was equal to the mushroom fields in every other way. Buried treasures and Minecraft:shipwrecks generated hereTemplate:Only.
Current
Template:IN, mushroom field shores in older worlds still received updates. When generated through Minecraft:single biome or Minecraft:behavior packs, they can also generate new blocks.
They appear similarly to old mushroom field shores, with the addition of Minecraft:firefly bushes.
Like mushroom fields, mushroom field shores have a unique Minecraft:sky color with Minecraft:Vibrant Visuals, which is yellow at the horizon and gray at zenith. At sunset, the horizon turns bright red, while at sunrise it is more purple/pink. At night, there is a dim purple light at the horizon. Mushroom field shores also have slightly stronger Minecraft:volumetric fog, tinted by a unique purple sunlight.
