Umbral Sands is an upcoming region, scheduled to be released on 23 June 2026. Ruled by the general Dragonwilds:Fuzan, a red dragon, this vast scorched desert region features a heat mechanic (called Dragonwilds:Scorch) where players will need to avoid staying out in the sun for too long.
Dragonwilds:Icthlarin will make an appearance in this region. This area will feature Kalphites and Kot-haar as the region's inhabitants, including a garou sect that is less hostile than the rest of the continent's garou tribes. Players can find Adamantite and Yew resources within the desert. Dragonwilds:Adamant equipment, Red Dragon Hide Armour, and Dragonwilds:Infinity Robes are confirmed to be releasing alongside this region.<ref>https://dragonwilds.runescape.com/news/ea-roadmap</ref>
In order to access this region, players will need to have completed the Black Knight's Fortress quest in order to access the Door to Umbral Sands within Dragonwilds:the Bastion.
