Copper is a Minecraft:metal found in the Minecraft:Overworld that is used to craft Minecraft:copper armor, Minecraft:copper tools, building blocks and other Minecraft:items, as well as to create Minecraft:copper golems. Most blocks made from copper Minecraft:oxidize slowly over time, changing their appearance.

Copper generates naturally as Minecraft:copper ore, which drops Minecraft:raw copper that can be smelted into ingots. Additionally, Minecraft:copper blocks - many of which are fully oxidized - can be found abundantly in Minecraft:trial chambers.

Oxidizing blocks

Blocks made from copper can Minecraft:oxidize over time, gaining a verdigris appearance over four stages:

They can be prevented from oxidizing by being waxed with Minecraft:honeycombs, and returned to previous oxidation stages using an Minecraft:axe. Lightning strikes also remove oxidation stages. This brings the number of variants for each block listed below up to eight.
