Template:External Armour describes items worn in the head, chest, leg, or cape slot to defend against damage from melee, ranged, or magic-based attacks. Most armour pieces have Dragonwilds:Durability which degrades either during combat or other sources of Damage, such as falling or failing Dragonwilds:Vault traps.
Armour is classified under three classes, representing the RuneScape combat triangle, and provides additional set bonuses for wearing multiple pieces within the same class type.
width=52x52Melee Armour
Melee armour generally offers the highest defence against melee damage and has the following set bonus:
1/3 Set Bonus: -33% Block stamina cost
2/3 Set Bonus: +50% Crit chance after blocking
3/3 Set Bonus: +25% Damage to staggered targets
width=52x52Ranged Armour
Ranged Armour generally offers the highest defence against ranged damage and has the following set bonus:
1/3 Set Bonus: +40 Stealth speed
2/3 Set Bonus: -33% Ranged attack stamina cost
3/3 Set Bonus: +25% Weak point damage
width=52x52Magic Armour
Magic Armour generally offers the highest defence against magic damage and has the following set bonus:
1/3 Set Bonus: -50% Stamina regen delay
2/3 Set Bonus: +10% Magic attack speed
3/3 Set Bonus: +15% Magical crit chance
Capes
- This section depicts capes acquired in the game. If you want to view the Capes of Accomplishment, please click/tap here.
Capes are worn in the back slot, providing minor defensive bonuses but are otherwise mainly cosmetic.
Shields
Shields are equipped in the off-hand and allow players to block and Dragonwilds:Parry incoming attacks.
- Blocking reduces the incoming damage from the attack of a monster by the block value of the equipped shield.
- Parrying is when the beginning of a block coincides with the timing of an attack of a monster. An audible "clang" will sound, and the enemy becomes staggered as long as they are not immune (e.g., Dragonwilds:Velgar).
Miscellaneous Armour
Some armour provides little combat effectiveness, no set bonus, or is used for other purposes (e.g., skill improvements or vanity):
