Template:For Template:Infobox block Stone bricks are a block found in various structures. It has three other variants: Minecraft:mossy stone bricks, Minecraft:cracked stone bricks, and Minecraft:chiseled stone bricks.

Obtaining

Breaking

A Minecraft:pickaxe is required to break stone bricks. Stone bricks drops itself when mined with a pickaxe, otherwise it drops nothing. Template:Breaking row

Infested blocks

Stone bricks can also be obtained by mining their respective Minecraft:infested blocks with Minecraft:Silk Touch.

Crafting

Template:Crafting

Stonecutting

Template:Stonecutting

Natural generation

Regular stone bricks generate as part of Minecraft:strongholds, making up most of the walls, ceilings, and floors. They can also generate as part of cold Minecraft:ocean ruins and Minecraft:ruined portals. Minecraft:Igloo basements are lined with stone bricks. Stone bricks can also spawn in Minecraft:trail ruins, and in Minecraft:trial chambers surrounding Minecraft:silverfish Minecraft:trial spawners. A single stone brick can generate in snowy Minecraft:villages under one of the possible meeting points (snowy_meeting_point_2).

Generated loot

Template:LootChestItem

Usage

As stone bricks offer no real advantage over Minecraft:stone or Minecraft:cobblestone, their main use is for decoration.

Note blocks

Stone bricks can be placed under Minecraft:note blocks to produce "bass drum" sounds.

Silverfish

Minecraft:Silverfish have the ability to enter and hide in stone bricks, turning them into Minecraft:infested stone bricks.

Sulfur cube

Template:In development Minecraft:Sulfur cubes have the ability to absorb stone bricks, either through picking it up or being interacted with it. This provides the regular/football effect to the mob when hitting it.
