Mario Mash-up, also known as Super Mario Mash-up<ref>Template:Cite</ref> and Minecraft: Super Mario Edition, is a Minecraft:mash-up pack released on May 17, 2016, based off the Super Mario video game franchise owned by Template:W. As such, this mashup pack can only be downloaded and used on their consoles and comes bundled for free with Minecraft releases on Nintendo platforms.

It includes a Minecraft:skin pack, Minecraft:resource pack and a world template.

World template

Overview

Template:Expand section The world template features locations inspired by the Super Mario franchise. General aspects include paths similar to those on world maps from 2D Super Mario games, pipes which the player can travel through, and two types of Toad Houses: Red Toad Houses feature a Minecraft:chest and two beds, while green Toad Houses are connected to another green Toad House via a pipe.

Spawn

The player spawns in a large Toad House, next to a bed, a Minecraft:jukebox and an empty chest. Outside the Toad House, there is a big Super Mario logo and a pipe next to it, with a short path connecting it with the house. The pipe leads to behind the logo, where there is a square-shaped lake with a star-shaped island with a statue of Mario in the middle, with bridges connecting it to the land in all four directions. There are decorations around the lake such as two large pipes, a ? Block, a Brick Block and a Gold Block, as well as some pixel art.

Bob-omb Battlefield area

East from the island is an area based on Bob-omb Battlefield from Super Mario 64, featuring a Minecraft:village and statues of a Goomba, a Chain Chomp, a Red Coin from Super Mario 64, green and red Cap Blocks, Princess Peach and King Bob-omb. At the end of the path is a recreation of Peach's Castle from Super Mario 64, including the castle grounds, the lobby and the Bob-omb Battlefield painting room. There is a pipe hidden behind the Bob-omb Battlefield painting, leading to a hidden green Toad House.

Snowy area

North from the island is a small grassy area, featuring a castle based on those in Super Mario Bros., with a short parkour challenge over lava inside. North from this area is a large snowy area. This area features a Toad statue, Ty-foo and Walleye buildings, ice spikes, a fortress and a castle, and a small airship near the sea.

Music disc locations

Hidden in chests around the map are 12 Minecraft:music discs, a common trope in all worlds built by Minecraft:4J Studios for Minecraft:Legacy Console Edition.
