Template:Infobox guide This guide is a simplified overview of all the changes in the Template:BE 0.12.x releases, which assumes at least some familiarity with Bedrock Edition 0.11.x releases.

Mobs

New

Defend villages by attacking hostile mobs.
Snow golem Template:Animate Can be generated by placing 2 snow blocks and 1 Minecraft:pumpkin in a certain order.

Template:Drop

  • Attacks hostile mobs by throwing snowballs at them.
  • Is passive toward players.

Zombie villager Template:Animate

  • Minecraft:Zombies that are naturally generated or spawned by monster spawners have a 5% chance of becoming zombie villagers.
  • When killed by a zombie, villager have a chance to become a zombie villager.

Villagers still retain their clothes and professions after being infected by zombies.

  • Skeletons can put on armor or pick up items.
  • Archery accuracy improved.
  • Have a small chance of dropping their armor and weapon on death.
  • The skeletons generated in the Nether are wither skeletons.
  • Skeletons killed by a Charged Creeper explosion drop a skeleton head.
  • The sound of death becomes the same as Java version.

  • Creepers are generated after being hit by lightning during thunderstorms.
  • Creepers killed by a Charged Creeper explosion drop a creeper head.
  • Stay away from ocelot (both wild and tamed varieties).

  • Small particles (visual effects) will be generated when jumping.
  • Now drop slime balls.

  • Now generates properly in the Nether.
  • Drop magma cream when killed.
  • Added particle effects when jumping.

  • Zombie pigman will spawn in the Nether.

  • There is a chance to spawn with an enchanted sword.
Minecraft:Villager Template:Animate
  • Now has the ability to open and close doors.
  • Can now harvest crops.
  • Can now be bred.
  • When attacked by a player, angry particle effects will appear.
  • Villagers killed by zombies now always convert to a zombie villager on hard difficulty.
Spider File:Spider JE3 BE2.png
  • There were footsteps.
  • Now drop spider eyes.
Ghast File:Ghast JE1 BE1.gif
  • Now spawns in the Nether.
  • Now drop ghast tears.
  • Now makes a sound.
  • Increased hitbox size.

  • Skeleton, wither skeleton, Minecraft:zombie and creeper will also drop corresponding creature heads when killed by a charged creeper explosion.
  • Player heads cannot be obtained as drops.

  • Cannot be crafted.
  • Removed from crafting menu and creative mode inventory.
  • Can only be obtained by editing the inventory.

  • Hold down the Template:Control key in the hotkey bar to eat golden carrots. Each one will restore Template:Hunger and 14.4 hunger saturation.
  • Used to brew night vision potion.
Nether wart File:Nether Wart (item) JE2 BE1.png Generate naturally in a Nether fortress. Used to brew awkward potions.
Glistering melon slice File:Glistering Melon Slice JE1 BE1.png Used to brew potion of Healing.

Golden apple File:Golden Apple JE1 BE1.png Generates naturally in chests in dungeons and nether fortresses.

Hold down the Template:Control key in the hotkey bar to eat golden apples. Each one will restore Template:Hunger and 9.6 hunger saturation, giving 2 minutes of Absorption I and 5 seconds of Regeneration II.
Enchanted golden apple File:Enchanted Golden Apple JE1 BE1.gif Generates naturally in chests in dungeons.

Template:Crafting

Hold down the Template:Control key in the hotkey bar to eat enchanted golden apples. Each enchanted golden apple restores Template:Hunger and 9.6 hunger saturation, giving the player 2 minutes of Absorption I, 30 seconds of Regeneration V, 5 minutes of Fire Resistance I and 5 minutes of Resistance I.
Rabbit's foot File:Rabbit's Foot JE2 BE1.png Only available in creative mode. Used to brew jumping potions.
Blaze rod File:Blaze Rod JE1 BE1.png Dropped by blazes.
  • Used to craft blaze powder and brewing stands.
  • Can be used as fuel to smelt 12 items.

  • Used to brew highly toxic potions.
  • Hold down the Template:Control key in the hotkey bar to eat spider eyes. Each spider eye will restore Template:Hunger and 3.2 hunger saturation, giving the player 4 seconds of Poison I effect.

Template:Crafting

Used to brew potion of Invisibility, potion of Harming, potion of Slowness and Minecraft:potion of Weakness.
Poisonous potato File:Poisonous Potato JE1 BE1.png There is a chance that potato crops will drop after being harvested. Press and hold the Template:Control key in the hotkey bar to eat poisonous potatoes. Each poisonous potato restores Template:Hunger and 1.2 hunger saturation, and has a 60% probability of giving the player 4 seconds of Poison I effect.

  • A new icon has been designed for the boat item.
  • Now shows paddles on the item sprite.
  • Boats can now be made of different wood types.
Minecraft:Food Players who eat food will restore their hunger points, but their health points will not be restored immediately.
