Competence in completing tasks to specification. Highly industrious workers can juggle more tasks at once, and earn slightly higher rewards for their hard work.

Industry Overview

Industry is a skill leveled by completing crafting or collection tasks for the Work Order system. Across Alharth, merchants post Work Orders for explorers and crafters to complete.

In-Game Description

Competence in completing tasks to specification. Highly industrious workers can juggle more tasks at once, and earn slightly higher rewards for their hard work.

Training Industry

Training Industry primarily occurs when NPC Work Orders are completed.

Work Orders can be obtained from:

  • Interacting with a Work Order board in a town.
  • Receiving a Work Order scroll in monster loot or in a dungeon.
  • Buying a Work Order from an NPC's Buy Used tab. Hint

Work Order System

What is a Work Order

Work Orders are scroll items that ask for a certain number of items to be delivered to a specific NPC. In return for turning in those items the player will receive the price that was indicated on the Work Order.

Once a player has learned (or even completed) a certain Work Order for an item, other identical Work Orders will be shown with a green text to indicate that the player has 'already memorized' that Work Order. After one month the 'memorized' status will be reset for the work order; The player can then once again learn the Work Order and turn in the required items.

Many players will begin by completing Work Orders in Serbule before moving to other zones. Work Orders in higher level zones request items that require higher levels of crafting skills to complete, but also offer a higher reward. The completion of high level Work Orders is a common way to earn many Councils. As Industry is leveled, the maximum number of active Work Orders a character can claim is increased (up to 13).

How are Player Work Orders different from NPC Work Orders

While most towns have a sign offering NPC Work Orders, Player Work Order signs can sometimes be found nearby. Player Work Orders do not give experience towards leveling Industry, and must be completed while interacting with the sign. Player Work Orders cannot be bought, sold, dropped, or traded.

At the Player Work Order sign, a character can:

  • Create a new Work Order (choose the desired item, specify the number requested and set the price).
  • browse the posted Player Work orders.
  • Fill a Work Order (if the required items are held in inventory).
