Minecraft:Wooden Pressure Plate

Template:Infobox block A wooden pressure plate is a wooden variant of the Minecraft:pressure plate. It can detect all entities, producing the maximum signal strength of 15. Wooden pressure plates come in all variants of wood.

Obtaining

Breaking

A wooden pressure plate can be mined using any tool, or without a tool, and drops itself as an item. However, Minecraft:axes are the fastest way to break one.

A pressure plate is removed and drops itself as an item if:

• the block beneath it is moved, removed, or destroyed
• a Minecraft:piston tries to push it or moves a block into its space

Natural generation

Oak pressure plates can generate in some Minecraft:plains village houses and in Minecraft:trial chambers (some Minecraft:dispenser traps and a hidden chamber in the "Intersection 2" room).

Acacia pressure plates can generate in some Minecraft:savanna Minecraft:village houses.

Spruce pressure plates can generate in some Minecraft:snowy tundra, Minecraft:taiga, and Minecraft:snowy taiga Minecraft:village houses.

Usage

Each type of wooden pressure plate functions exactly the same as the other wooden pressure plates.

Activation

Wooden pressure plates can be activated by most entities (including players, mobs, items, arrows, experience orbs, fishing bobs, etc.). Certain entities, however (such as Minecraft:players in Minecraft:spectator mode and Minecraft:markers), cannot activate them nor keep them activated.

Template:IN, Minecraft:Item Frames and Minecraft:glow item frames cannot activate wooden pressure plates but they can still keep them activated.<ref>This behavior can be observed by placing an item frame inside of a wooden pressure plate and then stepping on it: the pressure plate doesn't revert to its inactive state even after the player steps off.</ref>

After being activated, a wooden pressure plate periodically checks every 20 Minecraft:game ticks if there are still entities on top of it. If none are found, the pressure plate returns to its inactive state.

The Minecraft:signal strength emitted by a wooden pressure plate is always 15.

Fuel

Overworld wooden pressure plates can be used as a Minecraft:fuel in Minecraft:furnaces, smelting 1.5 items per pressure plate. Nether wood pressure plates (crimson and warped), cannot be used as fuel in a furnace.
